We may not be a huge church, but we can make a huge impact on the world. And that is exactly what we intend to do. We have a number of missionaries that we support with both finances and relational connection. To get an idea of our involvement around the globe, just look at the map below.
There are three specific ways we are active in missions.
- Giving financially. We give aggressively to missions all over the globe. We believe God has called FFCC to give 15% of our offerings to missions and outreach.
- Restoring missionaries. Often missionaries will come to FFCC to be rejuvenated. We pour into them love, refreshing, prayer, hope and emotional encouragement. This relates to our calling to be a Rehoboth Church.
- Sending out. We desire to not only send our finances into the mission field but also our own people. The main way we do this is through short-term missions. For several years, we typically had both a youth trip and an adult trip, open to anyone in the church. God has also allowed us to "sow" some of our own people into the mission field long-term. Currently we have Jimmy & Teresa Heisler and Dwayne Bevers who came right out of Freedom Fellowship. Dwayne is involved in mercy missions in Mexico and Jimmy & Teresa are the leaders of the new YWAM Amarillo/Canyon base that focuses on feeding the hungry here and around the world through aquaponics technology.
